This year started in the best way, full of volunteers wanting to learn and help. In this edition we are presenting Numi Van Beek, student from Belgium, where we asked her why she is in Argentina doing the volunteering, what she likes to do and what her goals and expectations are.
“I came to Argentina for eight months, i like to travel and know other cultures. I am studying business administration at ICHEC in Brussels, Belgium”.
Numi is doing her thesis about the impact and knowledge of fair trade in Argentina: “My goal in Arte y Esperanza is to analyze the fair trade in Buenos Aires, to then give possible solution to the organization in the future. For this purpose, she is doing a poll -that you can find in our profile of instagram @arteyesperanza- to identify how informed we are about fair trade in Argentina.
In relation to why she picked Arte y Esperanza above other organizations, she says: “I´m interested in getting involved like a volunteer, because i found Arte y Esperanza and i liked what the organization do, i think that the way to do fair trade with the aboriginal communities is very important”.
At this moment, Numi is helping with the administrative part and with great enthusiasm sentence: “i like to help and i know there is always space and things to do in an NGO like Arte y Esperanza”. Welcome Numi!
